Our story
Why Help Myanmar exists
Help Myanmar is a California-registered 501(c)(3) non-profit whose mission is to raise funds to provide various support to the people of Myanmar. Starting June 2021, fundraising events have been held quarterly, connecting our community in California and beyond with trusted grassroots partners on the ground.
We were founded by volunteers from the Myanmar diaspora and friends of Myanmar who wanted a direct, reliable way to channel resources to families, children, and communities affected by ongoing crises.
Today, our network of volunteers, donors, and local partners continues to grow — all united by a simple belief: when we come together, we can help communities in Myanmar not only survive, but move toward a more hopeful future.

We are fully volunteer-run with zero administration cost, so every dollar raised is directed to communities and partners in Myanmar.
